TRAINING UPDATE – VIRTUAL EDUCATION SESSIONS AVAILABLE

Palliative Care Tasmania is actively taking precautionary measures and following guidance from the Australian Department of Health Coronavirus Health Alert and the World Health Organisation (WHO), to ensure the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) is minimised in Tasmania.

In this light, all training will now be in the form of virtual education sessions and done via an online platform.  All face-to-face education sessions for both health professionals and the community will be suspended until further notice with online sessions replacing them in the interim.

Our trained educators often work with vulnerable and older persons, and those with life-limiting illnesses who are most at-risk of becoming seriously ill from COVID-19 and the safety of these people is our number one priority.  By offering our sessions online, we are doing everything possible to ensure all health implications are minimised and in addition, that our valuable education sessions are still available to those who require them.

Please see a list below of all virtual education sessions available to register for.  Please note, these are FREE to attend.  Once you register, we will be in touch with a link and additional resources to ensure you are well prepared for the session.

Thank you for your understanding and we hope to see you online soon.
